Two officers, a Taser, and one suspect, and somehow he still got away. The video shows a female officer fighting to hold a man down, and she’s doing everything she can against a guy who’s clearly bigger and stronger. Then her partner jumps in, and instead of helping her pin him, he goes for his Taser. Moments later, the suspect breaks free from both of them and outruns them down road and leaps over the overpass. Officers put their lives on the line every day, and I respect that. But this is why training matters. When it’s two on one, the suspect should never make it to his feet. What went wrong here, the takedown, the Taser, or the teamwork?
