El astrofotógrafo estadounidense Andrew McCarthy ha capturado una imagen espectacular de un paracaidista cayendo frente al Sol. Las tomas fueron realizadas a inicios de este año y publicadas recientemente en sus redes sociales.

La toma, que según McCarthy "podría ser la primera foto de este tipo que existe", fue titulada 'La caída de Ícaro', en referencia al héroe de la mitología griega. Se logró en el sexto intento y requirió una planificación y coordinación precisas entre el fotógrafo y el paracaidista.
"Teníamos que encontrar la ubicación, la hora, la aeronave y la distancia adecuadas para obtener la foto más nítida", escribió Gabriel Brown, el paracaidista de la foto y amigo de McCarthy. Además de la foto, también lograron capturar en video el momento del salto.
